FAQ
Common questions
Is Kelsa really free for workers? +
Yes — workers can join, browse jobs and apply completely free. The only time money is involved is when a job is completed and the worker is paid. Even then, the worker keeps 90% of the agreed daily wage.
How does the 10% platform fee work? +
When an employer pays for a completed job, Kelsa takes 10% as a platform fee. So if the agreed wage is ₹600/day, the worker receives ₹540 and Kelsa keeps ₹60. This fee covers GPS matching, payment processing, support and platform maintenance.
When does the worker get paid? +
Payment is released instantly to the worker's UPI ID once the employer marks the job as complete. There's no waiting — workers get paid the same day the job is done.
Can I cancel my Pro subscription? +
Yes — you can cancel anytime. Your Pro benefits continue until the end of the billing period. There are no cancellation fees or penalties.
What payment methods does Kelsa accept? +
Kelsa accepts all UPI apps (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm), debit cards, net banking and credit cards via Razorpay. Workers receive payment directly to their UPI ID.
Is there a free trial for Employer Pro? +
Yes — new employers get their first month of Employer Pro free. No credit card required to start. You only pay if you decide to continue after the trial.
What happens if a worker doesn't show up? +
With our Job Insurance add-on (₹99/job), Kelsa guarantees a replacement worker within 2 hours at no extra cost. Without insurance, you can re-post the job instantly and it will be prioritised in our matching system.
